Bottega Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG comes in Bottega’s striking black-and-gold bottle and is made from Glera grapes grown on the steep hills between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene in Veneto. This area was recognized as a DOCG in 2009 and is considered the top tier of Prosecco. Part of Bottega’s Il Vino dei Poeti (“The Wine of Poets”) line, it’s a step up from everyday Prosecco for holiday dinners and special toasts.
In the glass, it shows a bright straw-yellow color with a fine, persistent perlage. The bouquet features pear and fruity notes with floral hints of wisteria and acacia. On the palate it is fresh and elegant, with balanced acidity.
